The ICONSIAM countdown is one of Asia's biggest fireworks shows — a kilometre-long display over the Chao Phraya, broadcast worldwide every year. Our hotel is on the same side of the river, close enough to walk home after midnight.
Free viewing spots on the Khlong San side
Khlong San / Tha Din Daeng riverside: our bank looks straight at the sky above ICONSIAM — far easier to find a spot than the mall side with its hundred-thousand-person crowds.
Memorial Bridge / Chao Phraya Sky Park: open river-bend views (check the park's opening announcement near the date — access can be limited on countdown night).
Your own balcony: city-view rooms catch the glow above the Charoen Nakhon skyline — a private celebration, no crowds.
Walk home: after midnight the roads jam, taxis vanish and the BTS queues run for an hour — our guests simply walk back in 10-20 minutes.
Far cheaper: riverside hotels near the fireworks charge 3-5× on NYE and sell out by November — staying with us costs a fraction of that (New Year rates may run slightly above standard; ask us on LINE/WhatsApp).
A base for the whole trip: ICONSIAM, Chinatown and the temples for New Year merit-making are all minutes away.

Evening: dinner at a local Tha Din Daeng spot (see our neighbourhood food guide) — normal prices, no festival menus.
~22:00: claim a riverside spot on foot, or take the Gold Line into the ICONSIAM event zone if you want to be in the middle of it (allow extra time back — trains are packed).
Midnight: minutes of fireworks filling the river sky — our bank's camera angle rivals the mall side.
After: stroll home while the mall-side crowds spend another hour hunting for taxis.

When should I book for NYE?
