MuvMi runs electric tuk-tuks you book in an app. Most rides are shared with others heading the same way, with pick-up and drop-off at points the app sets, and the price is shown before you book — no haggling. It suits short hops inside its service areas; its regular zones don't yet include the Thonburi side, but ICONSIAM is inside the area of its Travel Pass for visitors. Here's how far it works for guests on our side, and when to use something else.
| Option | Best for | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| MuvMi | Short hops inside the service area, when you're not in a hurry | Shared rides, fixed pick-up points, may need a Thai number |
| Grab / Bolt | Door to door, late nights, big bags | Over the bridge to Chinatown in ~10 min, ~฿70–100 |
| Cross-river ferry | Getting to the Chinatown side | ฿5, about 3 minutes from the end of our lane |
| Gold Line | ICONSIAM and the BTS | One stop to ICONSIAM |
The same app books electric boat taxis on Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem and Khlong Bang Lamphu. They run in the daytime and stop near Hua Lamphong, Nang Loeng Market and Phra Sumen Fort — our electric-boat guide explains how to get there from the hotel.
It depends on whether the hotel is inside a service area at the time — the areas keep changing. Open the app to find the nearest pick-up point. If there isn't one, take the Gold Line to ICONSIAM or Krung Thon Buri and book from there, or use Grab or Bolt.
Several users report that sign-up needs a Thai mobile number to receive the code. Try your own number first; if it fails, use a Thai SIM or eSIM, or use Grab and Bolt, which you can sign up for with your own number.
MuvMi is a shared electric tuk-tuk that picks up and drops off at set points inside its service areas — good for short hops. Grab is a private car to any door, better for late nights, big bags or longer trips.
